The ground outside is frozen
I can see the air I breathe
And my chest is still torn open
As my skin begins to freeze
The light inside is dying
As my feet are turning blue
I’m forever in this winter
And I owe it all to you
Time has stopped it’s ticking
And the lakes are frozen still
All the icicles are dripping
I’m wrapped tight inside this chill
For my heart inside is missing
As I lay here frozen down
I can hear it in the snowflakes
As they whisper to the ground
Excellently evoked poetry
